The Lions in Australia
Well what do you know... it takes a good old Seffrican's influence to beat the British and Irish Lions in Australia. In what was an excellent result for the
Brumbies, the Lions suffered their first defeat on tour against a Wallabie'less Brumbies team.

The Lions are a special touring team and there has been a phenomenal treasure of stories written about them. In the previous centuries, they travelled
by boat and stayed months, playing many games on and off the field.

RF, over the years has dedicated many a column inch on the great feats of yore and to whet your appetite, click through to this great article by Brian
Forsyth in Volume 1 - Week 16, "The Fearless Opponent".

Watching some of the warm up games, the Lions are playing an attractive style of rugby yet based on the wonderful forward platform from the best that
the Six Nations have to offer.

Not to forget some excellent backs… very few people like Mike Philips but he is a very effective and annoying scrumhalf and strong as a loose forward.
In the match against NSW he even imitated his old ‘mate’ Bakkies by blowing a kiss to one of the Aussies…

The series will be heavily influenced by the kickers and in Halfpenny they’ve got their pound’s worth and Australia cannot afford any mistakes with a guy
that’s missed something like 1 kick on Tour, his percentage success rate is phenomenal.

All in all we are in for a brilliant series and for some reason, my money is on the red team.
